Professional Background Education, & Training


I have been working in the counseling and helping professions since 2000. I received a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University at the California School of Professional Psychology in 2006. My studies focused on Family Systems Theory as well as various therapeutic approaches, lifecycle development, and addiction studies. Additionally I have over 26 years of personal recovery from alcohol and substance abuse.


I hold the following professional licenses and certifications:

  • Licensed Professional Counselor, Oregon (LPC)
  • ​Licensed Professional Clinical Mental Counselor New Mexico, (LPCC)
  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC II) 
  • Trained & Qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP

I am required to and do participate in annual continuing education, taking classes that deal with subjects relevant to this profession.
